Salt Lake Temple

who knows what dem Mormons are hiding in that temple…

It is a Mormon Temple with a visitor center. There are plenty of LDS missionaries who are MORE than happy to answer any and all questions. If you’re in Salt Lake City, you check it out.

If you’re expecting Westminster Abbey or Notre Dame, you’re in for disappointment.

In the warmer months the gardens surrounding it are in bloom. In the winter time there is a fantastic Christmas display on the grounds.

I went to do baptisms for the dead here, and it is so gorgeous. I enjoy the St. George temple, but for some reason, this one was my favorite. I really enjoyed not only the Spirit, but the hard work that was obvious in every detail of the temple, and the hard work it takes to keep it running. Temple Square is an awesome place too, I love going there and seeing what they have. I also saw “Legacy,” which was such a moving story. I really want to go back and do it again.

The Visitor’s Center was awesome as well. I really love the room with the storm, and then the stars. It just touched me so much…our world is so beautiful.

I actually didn’t get to go inside because I didn’t have my Temple Recommend with me…but it was grand to see the structure in person and study the outside of it as well as the surrounding gardens. Quite lovely and impressive.
