Wander their vineyard
Foppiano is a great little Russian River Valley winery that lets you wander around in their vineyards. Mr. Foppiano is in his 90s, but comes into the tasting room when it’s open and chats with visitors. They make great Petite Syrah and Sangiovese wines. But the very best thing was the self-guided vineyard tour, in August. Though hot out, the grapes were near harvest and we sampled a few.
