Worth visiting!
Months before the march on Washington in 1963, there was a March down Woodward Avenue in Detroit, to this location, where Martin Luther King first gave his I Have A Dream Speech.
Much later, in Washington, as they prepared to March, MLK was asked “Will you be giving the speech you gave in Detroit?” He thought about it and then incorporated I Have A Dream into his Washington DC Speech.
Motown Records was there, recording, as they followed MLK around for months, they documented both speeches and released them on vinyl record (a sort of large black compact disc thing)
