Bleu Room

Nice sound system and they book great DJs. It’s hard to find venues playing electronic music sometimes…

I have a couple issues with Bleu. It’s pretty small, in my opinion. I can look past this, but the thing that really bothers me is the bartending. The drinks are very expensive, weak, and not very well made. Sure, the bartenders are hot women in lingerie, but that doesn’t make up for some of the rude service I’ve gotten and the awful drinks.

Keep the lingerie, but hire better bartenders and lower the prices. Other than that, it’s cool.

Closing night of Movement 07: Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival had many after-parties in progress. One of the best attended was at Bleu.

Last night I was there taking photos for ExactEvents.com

I have been away from Bleu for over a year and coming back had me seeing old friends. It was nice seeing them again. Iwas there late in the evening for Richard Humpty Visson’s performance.

Positives: Good music, DJ close to dance floor, good ventilation, easy to find.
Negatives: Need richer ambient light (please NOT red – cameras exagerate red), end of night security.
