Great place, when here for a concert my friend was dancing in for NaS. Beautiful University and Great Stadium.

Much of the campus is ugly as sin. But I met my husband here, so… Speaking of which, he likes to tell people how the university was designed in the early 1970s, back when they assumed that mass student protests would be a way of life. Many buildings were developed specifically to be used in a crisis by armed guardsmen. Now, having said that, there are some neat places to visit here. The Polymer science buildings are brand new and very nice; there’s a great coop full of natural food and run by students, and in the past, the UMASS SF and gamers groups ran some interesting stuff, including a convention held on campus.
