Institute of Contemporary Art

Just being in the Museum store, with all the various contemporary art items, was a lesson in not viewing life from inside a mental filter. There were things that don’t exist within known (to me) categories and take energy and effort to see clearly and figure out what they are. Mind expanding!

As the photo shows, the ICA is as of 2006 in a fantastic new waterfront building.

Students are free after 5 on Thursdays!

Time magazine just recently (the month of November or December 2006) had a whole feature story about the museum and the architechs who designed the building. Should be interesting for anyone wanting to know more!
