A review of this place: If you are looking for a university in Chicago, go to Loyola!

I am a student at LUC. I love it there! The campus is nice, and the faculty seem to really care about the students.
Some downers: 1. Tons of students smoke, and they stand right in front of the buildings, so I always get smoke in my face.
2. Rogers Park has sort of a bad crime status.
3. Not very many places to grab lunch for cheap.
Some highlights: 1. The chapel is really pretty
2. The Jesuits are pretty nice.
3. Loyola is a competitive university… good education!

Why I recommend this place to visitors

Very good, sound, education both liberal and oriented toward getting a job in the real world. Best of both liberal and applied sciences & arts education. Excellent facilities, up to date and convenient to the city and north shore.

What I want to do at this place

I want to attend Loyola University to get my degree in English Education, and to minor in French.

My French/English teacher went to Loyola and has nothing but good things to say – and besides that, the university I did want to go to – The University of St. Francis – doesn’t have a French … anything. French is conspicuously absent from their curriculum.

And that makes me sad inside.
