Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa

Booked with the wedding party-two room suite. The hotel, for a rather larger hotel has no a/c. When we went into our rooms they said they had placed extra fans in there because these rooms get exceptionally hot. So…we slept with the windows open for additional air. 4am…the noise from the street (trucks, etc.) was non-stop. I’ve stayed in quieter places in Manhattan (Sofitel, very quiet).

On the plus side the staff of this hotel could not have been better. They were booked solid so we couldn’t move our rooms (had family that needed care in next room) to what they called “quiet” rooms, but they were helpful in trying. Valet, bellman, front desk, concierge..all very helpful.

Beautiful locale for an outdoor wedding by the bay. Probably won’t stay there again but it was a nice weekend for the most part.

We have a family wedding being held at this hotel and I’ve booked rooms for the weekend. Looks beautiful. Hopefully will make it to their spa.
