Maya Beach Hotel

In the website for this fantastic hotel, they warn you that if you are looking for a top end luxury hotel, this is not it. However, it is my type of luxury hotel…..it is super clean, right on a gorgeous stretch of beach, and has a menu to make your mouth water. The staff and service are top notch, from planning your activities to meeting your every need.

Flip-flop the hotel cat reflects the belly you acquire by the time you leave. But it is oh-so worth it. I can’t wait to come back, since four days was not enough…..but it was a decent teaser. Check out the menu and the hotel.

All I can say, is that owners Ellen and John have created a little slice of heaven in Belize. I’m glad they decided to retire early and create a place that gave me a birthday candle in my breakfast, and set us up with the best guides they could find, and joined us nightly for drinks and food, and greeted us with a smile bright and early in the morning! If you don’t need five star luxury, you’d love this fabulous place. Besides, it got five stars in my book.
