Scarborough Renaissance Fair

My bf wore an oriental outfit and got many sneers and jeers.

Now I went once with silvery clubkid clothing and a silver mask I bought at the faire but I think I got away with it alright..

Except I was with some devil-may-care friends who left the audience in the middle of a performance of juggling and of course the comedy immediately was directed at us.

In short, dress the part if you must, and don’t needlessly insult the employees.

I moved across the country to live and work at this faire in 2006. It is a strange place, but I loved it. I learned just how freakin’ tough I am, and how capable I am. :) Plus, the faire itself is just a blast. If you ever go, swing by the Coin Mint…that’s my company!
