The Broadmoor

What a beautiful hotel. It’s the Guilded Age captured in time. I had a blast just wandering around the place and looking at the intricate artwork on the ceilings – and checking out all the bathrooms! My room had period furniture. We went ice skating and took a balloon ride, plus the restaurants were excellent!

We went to the Broadmoor for a 4-day weekend in October 2008. What a treat! To say it is a beautiful resort does not do it justice. The setting is amazing and the historical building and rooms are really cool (our room was in the original building). There really is something for everyone here… horseback riding, shopping, yoga, golf, spa, even fireplaces perfect for sipping tea and reading a book near. The staff is knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. Every detail has been thought of. I don’t think I have ever been somewhere that I enjoyed so much and can’t think of a single complaint or disappointment. We had a great weekend.

This is the most elegant place. I was invited to a private party for a cousins birthday in 2005. They had a room reserved in one of the fancy resturants and the view was amazing from the dinner. The food was great also. I had never been to a place I had to dress up so much, it was a fun experience. Dinner and Dancing, if only I would of had someone special there to share the night with on my walk around the lake in the courtyard that would of made it perfect.

When I lived in Colorado Spring we used to go here all the time for drinks and meals. It is one of the most beautiful hotels in the United States and one of the must see destination stops on your Colorado Adventure!
