    Remodelled!  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

I went in today for the first time after last month’s remodel (they were closed for a few weeks). Furnishings look more uniform and expensive. I’m ambivalent about the change: it’s less visually casual and quirky, but the tables are bigger (hold my laptop & a coffee more easily) and there is now a windowbooth.

There are three Just Us! locations in Nova Scotia – two in the Annapolis Valley where I am, and this one in Hali. Although I’m quite partial to the Wolfville location because many of my most favorite memories have been made there, I adore this location as well. Well worth the stop! Try the spiced hot chocolate, their fantastic chai lattes (iced or hot) and the delicious vegetarian and vegan food (the rest of the food is fantastic too but especially the veg. food.)

A review of this place: A good little spot...  — 2 years ago

If you are in Halifax and miss this little gem of a spot, you are missing out on a lot of Haligonian and Nova Scotian culture. This spot is dedicated to helping people in under developed areas. The coffee is amazing and all fair trade, as is the tea, the chocolate, and everything else in the cafe. They have two Gold fish to keep you company while you surf the net on their wifi network. The Barista’s are friendly, knowledgable and talkative.

A Good Fair Trade Shop in Downtown Halifax  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

The Just Us! Fair Trade Shop and Coffee Bar is a good place to have a coffee and to get snacks and chocolate as well as samosas, parathas and pakoras that come with complementary tea or coffee. There is also a nice selection of crafts and gifts that support fair trade as well.
