Williams Lake

I spent three months living in Williams Lake with a volunteer group this past summer. The people in the city were so welcoming, and friendly that it made me a little less homesick. Also, there is so much to learn about the First Nations Culture here. I attended sweats, a pow wow and a drum circle while I was living here, and visited a native heritage village. Williams Lake was a tremendous experience for me and I learned so much about the history of Canada. Lovely place :)

I did Katimavik here, it was absolutely amazing and I met the coolest people ever here! A true diamond in the rough, undiscovered gem is the Gecko Tree, it hosts live music, does open mic nites.. and is in general amazing with GOOD food!
