When I briefly lived in Boston the summer between high school and college, my friends had very little to do. We were too young to get into most music venues and too law abiding to get into real mayhem, so we satisfied ourselves with late night trips to the bowling alley and long talks at diners. Coffee Haus was our favorite, although it would fill up on weekends with college kids eating after clubbing and bar-hopping. It was a small, intimate diner that attracted interesting people, but I don’t remember the food at all, and I suspect it was nothing special.
