Mercado Central

It doesn’t not matter what are you looking for, if you can’t find it here, it’s not for sale! This is the best place in Belo Horizonte to buy stuff. I have the luck of working pretty close, just a block away. Sometimes I just take a little time to walk around, see things, smell things… originally a popular market, the Mercado Central has stablished itself as a small city inside the city, where people from all around the world meet. There are shop owners from everywhere, some working there for more than 50 years. Taking lunch there or just drinking a beer on the corridors (standing on your own feet, as do most people), is a great experience.
