Worth visiting!
The last time I went to this place
I have been thinking about creating a Murrieta website since I moved here back in February of 2001. At that time, I couldn’t even get a good Internet connection where I live in Murrieta. Since Verizon dug up the streets here and ran FIOS to the homes, I am now a happy online camper.
The short story is that without a decent internet connection, I wouldn’t even have tried to come up with a Murrieta website. The site is new, so I’m sure there will be some wrinkles to iron out. If you see busted links, weird behavior, or unexpected results please email me and let me know.
This is a community based website, which means the main focus is Murrieta related content. The website was designed to allow you to post your Business, Organization, Classified ads, Announcements and Event Calendar entries. In addition, we also have some online forums, and of course the Murrieta blog.
The intention of the Murrieta BLOG is for you, the Murrieta residents, to post your Murrieta related blogs. For those of you who are new to the term “blog” let me give you the Internet definition. “Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption.
Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site.” So our Murrieta blogs will represent the personality of this website as it develops. The blogs can be about politics, traffic, restaurants, or anything that touches on Murrieta in general. So get involved and send me your Blog! The process is simple, type up a blog in your favorite text editor, send it to me at webmaster@mymurrieta.com and I will post it for you. This way, instead of me boring you with my Murrieta stories, you can entertain the rest of us with yours.
Other areas of the website that I have not mentioned include the Business Listings, Online Shopping, Schools, Parks, and Emergency Numbers. The schools, parks and emergency numbers are static pages that will rarely change and are there for your convenience. The Business listings will hopefully grow past the nearly 2000 entries that we currently have available. The businesses are all in Murrieta or very close to Murrieta. Temecula and Lake Elsinore are also posted, although those listings are far from complete.
