Urth Caffe

I was searching for my hostel-that-thought-it-was-a-nightclub and I was starving, hot and frustrated! I took a wrong turn and the clouds parted, angels sang, a rainbow went over the sign and I realized my blood sugar had plummeted and I was hallucinating.

I felt lucky to have happened upon The Urth Caffe; the tea selection was so good that I actually purchased 3 pots so I could try my top 3. Their products are fair trade, organic and for the coffee, shade grown.

I visited many times over my time in LA and also discovered that they had great breakfasts and loved that they served tossed salads with the breakfast fare. I purchased loads of tea to take home. Later I learned that apparently it is a great place for star sightings; I failed to notice any stars, though I did run into a guy I had met years ago at a silent retreat oddly enough.
