The first time I went to this place
I came on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. The entire museum was engaging, and managed to be thought-provoking while feeling like a playground.
James Turrell’s Pleiades permenant exhibition is not to be missed. It takes patience, and I personally think it is best observed in silence.
The day I went, it was snowy, and a tramp through the garden was cut a little short. It was much more cozy to stop in at the temporary art house, The Tom Museum, and catch a round of art/miniature golf.

The first time I went to this place
As soon as I walked into the first exhibit I felt like I was in the movie Willy Wonka. The Mattress Factory is not like any other museum I have been to—it’s new, defferent, and not boring, at all. This is a great place for anyone to go, even if “artist things” are not interesting to you. I went with just some friends but while I was thre I saw families and dates also there, this place is for anyone and everyone. Check it out for sure if you have a chance.
