Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to locals

(I also recommned this place to visitors!)

Primarily, this is one of the few places in Tyler open past 10:00; D’s runs around the clock. It’s about on par with a Waffle House (in regard to pricing), but locally owned and run.
D’s serves breakfast, lunch, dinner. Unlimited coffee will cost you $1.08 (with tax). The vegetable beef soup is my personal favorite; the spicy fries are a great late night treat, pancake stacks are cheap and tasty. If you’re not pinching pennies, you can splurge on some of the larger menu items, like burgers, breakfast steaks, omelettes, and such.

It’s a great rendezvous place, not nearly as seedy as it looks. Most of the patrons look out for each other, or at least know each other.

D’s provides some of the best people watching in Tyler. And the jukebox has a curious combination of Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Toby Keith, and Alicia Keyes (etc.)
