Palaces and Parks of Potsdam

This small town surprisingly have so many beautiful palaces & parks… Late spring time will be the best time to visit as the flowers will be blooming and the sky is cristal clear.

There’s a small restaurant I believe around the chinese tea house where they offer an interesting dear & rabbit dishes.

This was, not unexpectedly, a pleasant day out from then hustle and bustle of Berlin. The S-Bahn from Friedrichstrasse Bahnhof was about 40 minutes and once clear of the city, passed through wooded areas with some lakes.

The day-ticket covered the buses in Potsdam, so it was an easy transfer up to Schloss Sanssoucci and a refreshing walk through the park up to the Neues Palais.

In the NeuerGarten Schloss Cecilenhof is to be found. This was made famous through the Potsdam Conference at the end of WWII.

The area is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and well worth visiting.

To see the Imperial palaces and gardens. Looks like a nice day out from Berlin.
