Great selection of eclectic items. A very wonderful sensory experience….

The ABC home store in Manhattan~ my favorite place to spend some quality time browsing and “noshing”~This is a destination for anyone who loves to feather their nest in an eclectic fashion. Makes me nostalgic for the Wide World Shop in Seattle’s gone but not forgotten Frederick & Nelson.

I couldn’t afford anything there.. so I ended up in the Michael Cluizel chocolate bar…

They have a full bar, and the chocolate chestnut dessert was heavenly.

The prices at ABC are a little rich for my blood, but I love their window displays and even just wandering around the shop. The ground floor is sensory overload in a good way. The textures and colors are so interesting and beautiful. Every holiday season they have a great collection of unusual and high-quality ornaments that are reasonably priced. The upper floors have little boutiques that sell everything from fancy sheets to high end tvs to Chinese wedding beds. They have a lot of objects you probably wouldn’t run into anywhere else, like stumps from the petrified forest. It’s a great place to go exploring and window shopping before you set out to buy something for your home.
