Worth visiting!
Lake Tarawera/Tarawera Falls
Great lake for kayaking, fishing and general boating.
Tarawera Falls are well worth a visit but requires a little organisation. You need to drive to Kawerau and get a DOC permit (as access is through forestry tracks).There is also a hot water beach but its accesible only by boat.
