This has to be one of the most stunning places I have ever been. It’s amazing with the rainforest coming down to the sea. When I went to the beach, it was deserted, like the kind of tropical island setting you imagine in daydreams. It has a very laid back vibe – I can’t describe it, there is something magical about the place. It’s also very much a small town – everyone knows each other up there.

Where the forest meets the sea
I had dreamed of going to this place for years because of two things. One was a book we all read as kids called ‘Where the forest meets the sea’ where the author made 3-D textured pictures to illustrate it. The other was a poster that said ‘Where reef meets rainforest’ with the most amazing of photos on it.
Coming here didn’t ruin my romantic image of it by bringing it into reality because it really was beautiful. I have been to jungle in the amazon and borneo, and despite the lack of cute monkeys, it really is among the most beautiful.
