It’s a nice space. From the menu I was afraid that it may be too precious but the eggplant sandwich which I ordered was nothing short of wonderful. I love eggplant, but it’s often not great. This was great. I’m always wary of the tone that these fancier foodie joints set, but so far I dig Cafe Stellina. For just opening there were few kinks — and hopefully things will only relax more as the building gets finished and the cafe matures. Welcome to the neighborhood, Stellina! P.S. My suggestion for the menu — spit out what the item is in the first 2 words. This is not a Cafe Stellina issue, but a fancy Seattle restaurant issue. Example: Eggplant Sandwich – then the description. Or, Chicken Sandwich — then the description. That way I don’t have to decode all the leading adjectives before arriving at the actual menu item. over 5 years agoUntitled by Laurel FanI went to their open house last week. I was late so there were only 2 appetizers left to try, but both were pretty good. I don’t know if they’re actually open yet, but I do want to give it a try for dinner. over 5 years agoUntitled by Laurel FanI went to Cafe Stellina’s open house last week. I heard La Spiga moves in September, apparently, Stellina moves sometime this month. over 5 years ago |
