Yukon River

Spent a decade of working on this river in the summertime.

Spent a week paddling up this river with a mad ozzie.
It was brilliant! Would recommend it to anyone.

You can pay a fortune to do it with a guide, but it’s way cheaper to rent the canoe and drop it off downstream a week, (or two) later. The river is really calm, and it’s real nice to just drift along and set your own schedule with one or two mates.
Could be a good idea to do the chilkoot trail before, from Skagway in Alaska. That takes about a week too, and then you’re doin the whole goldrush trail thang!
