Templo Mayor aka: The Great Aztec Temple

Nowhere else do you feel the passing of time so keenly as standing amidst the Aztec temple site in the middle of downtown Mexico City. If you look to one side, you see the pyramid ruins with the coatl carvings – move your head and you’ll see the Baroque style cathedral towering over the sunken layers of the pyramid. On one side you also see the subtle and impressive, modern Museo del Templo Mayor building that flanks the ruins and behind everything the modern buildings of the city.
