Hathersage Lido

The water was not chlorinated and they ask you to wash of sun cream before you go in.

I wanted to go here and have now achieved it.
Things you should know before going:-
It has 3 public sessions per day
10:30-12:30
1:30-3:30
4:30-6:30
in between these sessions are season ticket holders only sessions.
It holds around 80 people and you get in on a first come first serve basis we had to queue in 35c heat from 12:45 – 1:30 to get in, the pool was quite crowded but on such a hot day it was worth it! Costs £3.20 per adult.

I didn’t exactly quite fulfill my goal as I had a hire-car at the time, so cheated by driving there…

But a really nice place – you can see the beautiful hills of the Peak District over the fence.

The chlorine was pretty strong though, my eyes are kinda burning now!

I want to ride my bike there, have a nice swim to relax the muscles, and then ride back to Sheffield…

Clean water, beautiful views, wooden cubicles, grass, sunshine and icecreams!
