I went because one of my favorite local politicos was running for office as a county commissioner and he told everyone to go there. it was awhile ago and i think technically he was encouraging people to trespass, but he was so passionate about the place, and the view, and The Possibilities.

He wasn’t re-elected, which is too bad, because he is so right about this Whiskey Island. It is a delightful little isolated place that is right there just about in the middle of things.

stand at the mouth of the cuyahoga and the natural’ wooded shore of lake erie at the sametime! gorgeous views of the city and massive ore boats. sailing, sand volleyball, swimming, bbq, marina. even a bar – this is cleveland after all!
