Croton on Hudson

Visit the Pumpkin Blaze at Van Cortland Manor in the fall, awesome experience!

My wife and I can’t really explain what it is, but we just knew that we’d eventually end up living in Croton on Hudson and raising a family there. We didn’t realize that it would happen so soon though. We stumbled upon a cape on a great street near Silver Lake and we just couldn’t resist, so we put an offer to purchase the house and there you go, we’re soon to be residents of this jewel on the Hudson.

I grew up here. It’s a tiny little village outside NYC, and was an amazing place to grow up, although I didn’t appreciate it at the time. It’s the kind of place neighborhood kids played together in the street, people looked out for one another, and I never owned a housekey because we didn’t have to lock our doors. It’s not worth visiting because there’s absolutely nothing to do there except sit in one of our beautiful parks and watch the Hudson River go by. I can’t wait for next time I go back.
