Okarche

This is where my mom lives, so I visit fairly regularly. Small town about 40 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. Some of my earliest memories are of Okarche. My granddad used to own and operate and write most of the local newspaper, The Okarche Chieftain. I remember hanging out in the pressroom as a kid, watching him compose at the Linotype machine. I think my love of printing comes from watching granddad at work. The paper was sold after his death, and now the post office stands roughly on the same spot the newspaper once did.
