Istanbul Ataturk Airport

While the trams can be crowded they are very regular.

If you are planning to take the tram from the airport into the city, there are machines that will change your notes into coins.

Taxis can get stuck in terrible traffic and take a lot longer.

I lived in Istanbul for a short time. Not a week goes by when I don’t think about going back. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Turkish, you don’t need to.

The 2 things I remember about this airport – a huge ad in Chinese: “Do you want to buy marbles in Turkey?”, and bathrooms with squat toilets….

Nothing to write home about – clean and efficient.
