The City of London (ie. the financial district) is also known as the Square Mile – because that’s the area that it covers.

I have wandered about in the company of tons of people searching for anything from the right pub to watch England qualifiers to just making sure I got to the correct neck of the woods to catch an appropriate bus. All the city gents seem to have long died out, however, which I’m fine with; at least the yuppies are anonymous and therefore easily avoided.
