Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum

I was rather disappointed with this place…I didn’t visit it until about 3 years after the built it. Wasn’t as cool as I would have liked it to be. But I do like the IMAX.

After living in Austin for two years, I finally got around to seeing the museum today. It was actually a bit bigger than I expected, with three floors. However, Texas history can get a big boring considering all we have is Native Americans, the war with Mexico, and industry. Still, not a bad way to kill a few hours or an entire day. The gift shop was a little Tex-o-centric for my taste, but I guess it makes sense since it IS the Texas State History museum.

One thing I learned, you have GOT to get your IMAX tickets ahead because the lines are HORRIBLE!
