The first time I went to this place
My first surfing experience began there at Baler. We also visited other beaches and historical spots that were all worth going to! It is a hidden jewel of the Philippines! :)

mellow people
This is probably the most laid back in the philippines, This is a surfer town people come from all over in feb/march for surfing competitions. Lots of places to go and visit not much to do at night, kind of dead, but by the beach there are some cool local bars and the entertianment is excellent, man these people can sing and dance… While there you have to get around on a tricycle, and I dont mean the american kind its a driver on a motorcycle which has an attached cab for you and 10 of your friends to squeeze into, I’m not kidding, But all in all this place is great place to relax and much prettier than most of the island excluding boracay and palawan

Why I want to go to this place
unspoiled by city dwellers and wannabes, this is the second surfing town sought by foreign surfers…. the people are polite and gentle, hospitable and kind. the fish and seashells are first class… try the sinigang and crispy pusit.
this is also the birthplace of the country’s first president of the commonwealth.
