Jiko - The Cooking Place

There was something for every person at the table on this menu. We had adults and children (one with allergies – the chef came from the kitchen to discuss options and specially prepare something to suit).

We started with the kalamata olive flatbread with four cheeses and Laura Chenel soft goat cheese, the ostrich filet with creamy vidalia onion fondue and the curried samosas with chutney.

I had the signature Kenyan Coffee BBQ-Braised Beef Short Rib with crushed potatoes and it was the best thing on the menu – incredibly tender and delicious. The steak, the pork and the stuffed piquillo peppers were all also wonderful.

For dessert we shared the meyer lemon curd with sour cream ice cream, the chocolate cheesecake with an almond crust, chocolate ganache and lavender ice cream and the pistachio creme brulee.

More than 1 person has recommended Jiko to me as a must-dine place in Disney.
