Finally went inside the golf ball aka Spaceship earth by QuietAnya

I’ve never gone up hill for so long. It was a neat ride that we missed the first time I went to Epcot. My only complaint was going backwards downhill. But they kept it fun by allowing us to choose our future.

The “nighttime” sky is a joy to behold and the cute interactive choices about the future at the end of the ride are great fun.

This is my favorite ride in all of Disney World. Spaceship Earth chronicles the history and future of communications, and although this is partially due to (former) sponser AT&T, the ride presents a sentient view of Earth as one community. The concept of a world community is invaluable in today’s struggle against resource and human exploitation, and this is a common Disney theme that is often overlooked.
