Teatro Degollado

Never actually went inside,which is pathetic as went by it every day for a year,still it’s in a nice Plaza.Is the square still infested with rats?

I watch so many concerts, and performances… and most of them for free! but that is another story.
The building is beautiful, classic Greek style, with the portrait of Apollo and the 9 Muses at the front.
Last time I visited there was a man across the street from it making a replica of the relieve in clay, it was fantastic, he sold me one of the cathedral for only 5 pesos (about 50 cents USD), he could talk for hours about history, he knew everything there is to know about the Theatre, he was very poor and told me he lives in the streets (no wonder selling his artwork at that price). His name is Hiparco if you go to “Guadalajara” and see a man with a funny looking easel making clay creations it is probably him, tell him hi from me, the girl that gave him the bracelet, he will remember, and please buy some of his beautiful artwork.
