Gershwin Theatre

We sat in the rear right mezzanine closer to the center in the very last row along the wall. The seats are elevated enough so that your view won’t be obstructed by those seated in front of you. Considering where we sat, I felt like visibility was good, but would have wanted to be at least a little closer. The acoustics were good too and the sound level seemed just right. The ladies room on the mezzanine level had only three stalls. There was a line out the door during intermission; I was a couple minutes late for act two. I know we didn’t have the worst seats, because there were some cheaper tickets available which were sold out at the time of our purchase. If I go back to the Gershwin Theater for another show, I will try for better seats.

I saw Wicked here again. The Gershwin has to be one of the nicest theaters on Broadway. It has spacious lobbies and comfortable seats. It doesn’t have empty box seats like many older theaters, and the multiple levels if escalators make it quick to get to your seat.
