But an exceedingly bland appetizer followed by an equally bland entree was not worth the $40 I shelled out. I was really surprised that the vegetables I got were actually old and stringy in both dishes – for any higher end restaurant that’s already pretty bad, but for a veg place that’s just appalling.

On the other hand, my dining companions were mostly happy with their food, though some of them were equally leery of the price tag for their meals. Maybe I just had some bad picks, but I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.

I used to live a couple of blocks away. I walked by it all the time, and always meant to go, but never got around to it, and now I don’t live there anymore. Maybe the next time I get to SF.

each time was a goodbye dinner… once for my friend E, once a goodbye to a relationship, and last a goodbye for me from a couple bay area friends…

thank god the food is AWEsome, otherwise twould be a bittersweet place.

i highly recommend this place if you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just curious.

This was by far the most incredible food experience I’ve ever had. I could go on for hours about it but just let me say this.

Get the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings. You WILL NOT be sorry.

It can be tricky finding quality, upscale, vegetarian restaurants. This one is absolutely AMAZING. I recommend it to absolutely everyone—go and try something new! Right now!
