When I was younger, my family used to go to Squaw Peak for picnics and birthday parties. We used to hike the trails and one of my favorite places in the world is the hidden “castle” ruins!

It’s less like a hike, more like one big stairmaster with 100 of your closest friends. The side trails, while less strenuous, are much less trafficked. If you can handle the heat, go mid-day when sane people stay inside.
