Worth visiting!
A review of this place: My favorite coffee shop in Seattle.
I love the Wayward. Even though there are about 4 other coffee places that are a little bit closer to my apartment, if I want coffee, I’ll go to Wayward. They’re open later than any other coffee house around and while I’ve never seen the place empty I’ve never seen it overly crowded either. It’s a pretty big, open place, which is kind of rare in Seattle, and there are lots of big squishy couches to sit on, along with a nice little book shelf with lots of games. They have a good selection of drinks, including chai, mate, and bottled drinks if you’re not into coffee, and they have a small menu of simple vegetarian sandwiches. They also have a small case of pastries and vegan Mighty O donuts. The staff is really friendly and cheerful and I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone working there. They also have punch cards to earn a free coffee. I can’t think of a single bad thing to say about the place.

An actual coffeehouse!
This place, while new as of this writing, has more of a homey feeling than your typical, urbane Seattle cafe. More like… well… a coffeehouse. They do have the conceit of free WiFi, though, which makes me even happier. There’s live music on Friday and Saturday nights, an open mic on Sunday nights, and even storytime for the kids on Tuesday mornings.
