Jinja

I’m rafting the Nile here in Jinja and must arrived. It’s a lovely little town, much slower pace than Kampala, with some good cafes and restaurants around. I highly recommend Nile River Explorers campground as a place to stay. I’ve had a good experience so far, and the tent that I am staying in has a view of the Nile from its patio. It’s beautiful.

Certainly worth a visit.

Busy, dusty, thriving, growing, noisy, cluttered, crowded, colorful, generous, hospitable, delicious and amazing.

The headwaters of the river Nile are at Jinja. Plenty of class 5 and class 4 rapids. Plenty of warm tropical pools in between (free of Hippos!!). Great place for whitewater rafting!
