Simply beautiful by FairyTale
The scenery with mountains and lakes lets you forget the bustle of tourists, although late April is still a relatively quiet time. The castle itsself while not as breathtaking from the outside as nearby Neuschwanstein has more to offer from the inside since it was really inhabited and halls and private rooms can be viewed and will draw you into their past times.
My views are of course slightly biased due to the most enchanting smile I encountered in the castle yard ;o) Note, not all knights come in white armor, some wear blue and a camera.
