Essential sidetrack from summitting Rangitoto — 2 years ago
Worth visiting!
The caves themselves are perfectly sized if you’re a child, but a bit small for a, ahem, larger dude like myself. Still, the lava caves are certainly worth checking out. Bring a flashlight though, and be careful! I kinda hurt myself a little bit when I slipped on moist rock inside an opening.
