    Worth visiting!

I took the family on 1/12/08. And I got us all a membership so we can continue to go all year!

    WOO-HOO!

It’s a really fun and cool way to learn science.

Getting a membership to COSI is on my list of 43things to do.

My loved going there as a kid.

    My kids will enjoy going.

We were all set to head to a local lake yesterday but the forecast was rain all day (and it was correct) so we decided on COSI instead. There is currently a Star Wars exhibit which was ok—costumes and props from the movies and some games and activities. Will fell asleep in the stroller (that was ok) but woke up when we left the exhibit and headed to the rest of the museum. The cool thing about COSI is the little activities positioned all around the museum. You can balance a plastic ball on a jet of water, lift a car using a weight and balance system and walk through one of those tunnels that turns around you making you feel like you’re falling. The kids liked the electronic laser harp. You just run your fingers through where the strings would be—it kind of worked like an electric organ. Push a button and different sounds were produced: some made us feel like we were in a techno club and one sounded to me like the sounds the alien ships made in “Close Encounters…”
The kids liked it and my mom and dad went too (all told, there were 14 of us, one shy to get a group rate!) and my dad always likes that stuff. We were all just glad we’d found something to do on the rainy day!

A review of this place: Be a kid again!  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I LOVE going to COSI! In fact, I’m a member… not many places can make you forget you’re an adult for an afternoon and allow you to let loose and PLAY like you were 7 again! In these days of so much political descent and economic sluggishness, it’s a great way to unwind!!
