Oysterville

You’ve stepped back in time. It’s eerie and quiet. You can drive through the cemetary. Several times I’ve visited here and not seen a soul about. The church is left unlocked for visitors to get tourist information.

There was a story on NPR this morning about a guy who has visited every single city in Washington state-almost 500 of them. I think this is fabulous. I love Washington and I love tiny weird towns. His favorite place was Oysterville on the Long Beach Penninsula-the entire town is on the Register of Historic places. And they have lots of oyster farms. I also love oysters and old buildings so this sounds like the town for me.
