Musée Carnavalet

This place was so neat! It’s like a mini-Versailles, but without the cost or crowds! A bit easy to get lost in though, so get a map. If you follow the rooms in order, you can wander through France’s history in art.

It’s free, and deceptively big. I only got to see half of it and always meant to go back to see the rest, but never quite got around to it. It showcases the history of Paris and I found the section on the French Revolution especially good. The gardens are lovely too.
