Why I want to go to this place  — 7 months ago

I was in New Orleans on my first solo trip anywhere and having an awesome time. Unfortunately, when I finally had time to visit the zoo, my internal compass was off and I went down St. Charles instead of Magazine St. By the time I had walked from St. Charles to the zoo, it was almost closing time! I didn’t have a chance to go there again before I left, but I promised myself I’d go back someday.

Worth visiting!

The Audubon Zoo is the best zoo I’ve ever been too! And the history behind Monkey Hill! whooee! I loved cooling off in the stream when I was younger. Everything about this zoo rocks!

Worth visiting!

I’ve been to Audubon Zoo SOO many times, and most of them involved me sweating my BUTT off. But the last time I went it was the end of December and the weather was unusually mild…I went with three of my friends and we all wore tshirts and jeans. We took tons of silly pictures (which unfortunately are not on my computer) with the various statues around the park. The especially funny ones were on top Monkey Hill which has really large lion statues that we sat on top of like horses. Isn’t it weird that MONKEY hill has LION statues on top of it and BUNNIES running around in the grass?? weird.

Worth visiting!

I love zoos. However, they really need more shelter. We were in the safari area when a sudden rain shower hit. The entire group was soaked before we could even find a tree to huddle under. Then we got to eat at an overpriced McDonald’s.
