If you happen to be anywhere in the area then this is a must-see. It’s magnificent outside and even more inside. So do go in. Ticket prices are as follows:
Adult: £5 Children: Free
Concession: £3
The lady at the till is very nice. We had a family of 5 with 3 adults and she put us down as two. Yeyy!
The Cathedral has tours running every now and then and it is definitively worth waiting for one. We went there on Saturday and the tour was at 12:30. You will find a lot of interesting facts about the Cathedral it self and the period of time in which it was built. For example, before Henry the 8th decided to seperate from the Pope the whole Cathedral was full of colour unlike today when it’s mostly white and creamy.
Also check out the Red Coat Tours organised by the city of Exeter. Most of them meet outside or near the Cathedral and they are interesting and informative. To find out the times of the tours go to this website:
http://www.exeter.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=668
It has details of each tour and at the bottom there is the Summer Program and the Winter Program depending on which season you plan on going. If you click them it will give you the times! Enjoy!!
