A review of this place
If it were not the food, I would never go.
-Ruby’s Chinese Restaurant (Finch and Mccowan). Best dim sum in the GTA
-Korean BBQ Grill House (McCowan and Sheppard). Best korean grill I’ve had… this is a satellite location I believe, they also have a restaurant on queen st w, near university ave.
-Pacific Mall (Kennedy and Steeles) : Green Tea 168 ; bubble tea… I go here for when I crave mango slushes with tapioca at 2:50AM on a tuesday night. They’re open til 3AM on weekdays.
-Starwalk buffet. I hate buffets, but this place is seriously good. :( (Kennedy and Sheppard) All you can eat sushi+sashimi included, too. They appear to be the busiest/biggest buffet in gta right now.
-TNT Supermarket (Steeles, inbetween kennedy and finch), okay, so not really a restaurant. It’s the most amazing supermarket, though. It has a mini-food court at the front restuarant, a celluar phone booth, a jewlery shop, and a green 168 location. The japanese place in here is one out of two places in toronto to get takoyaki, and they do it good too. The food court is great, I used to go here for lunch religiously.

The Purple Line
Yesterday I took the Sheppard subway line for the first time (it’s the purple one on the map, and it goes east from Sheppard-Yonge or I guess west from Don Mills). It was pretty okay, but Scarborough’s not reeeeally a super happenin’ place. My Chinese host father lives in Scarborough, as do apparently a lot of people moving to TO from China. I have heard tell that no less than one in six immigrants to CANADA move to Scarborough. That is an impressive number.
